a time for catch up

In everything there is a season, and it is now time to play, catch up with my blogg. I have so much fun reading everyone elses and I keep saying that I will update, so here is my feeble attempt to catch up the last 4 months.

Bugs turned 8 and got baptised in June. She looked beautiful in white.

We had little Mae on June 23. 7lbs. 3 oz. she has lots of fuzzy hair and so adorable. We have been calling her "fuzzy mae" Lou has dubber her with that one. Her hair is always standing on end. I am having a hard time beliving that she is now three months old. I am having a hard time believing that all these kids following me around are all mine, for that matter. ha ha

We went the the NFR in July. Norman Family Reunion that is. We had lots of fun swimming and visiting with family. Everyone took turns passing around fuzzy mae.

In August I went through all of our "stuff" and had to decide what to store and what to bring to our new home in Bozeman. I had a terrible time downsizing when we just upsized our family. It was a daunting task to divide everything and move it all into storage and then move everything else into 2 horsetrailers for Bozeman. but we did it and we are here and all moved in.

I am enjoying the simplistic life we are living here. We live in a nice 3 bd condo. It is nice but very small with neighbors who live on both sides. I have become a crazy mom always trying to get the kids to talk and walk quietly. I feel so sorry for our neighbors. The girls are getting used to the idea of a "neighborhood" Our door bell rings as soon as they get home from school and all day on saturday with the neighborhood boys who want to play. (not hardly any girls around us)

Our life is all about school. With Dustin in school and the older girls all we do is homework around our house. I took a reprieve from school and will start back in January. I am hoping to also put Lou in a preschool or joyschool. We are pretty nerdy and boring. We don't even own a T.V. (I am hoping to rectify that soon because gathering around a laptop computer screen to watch a movie doesn't work for me) Dustin is sooo busy with his classes and his research that he spends most of his time at his little cubicle office on campuss. Just so you all know he is in grad school and is studing under the Animal Science department where he is doing research in range and hydrology. He has two projects he will gather research and work on during the summer. One is outside of Jackson, WY and the other is near North Dakota. He digs holes, looks at soil and geology and water resources and synisizes data.(this is a very sad explination of what he does, he does a much better job explaining it, in fact I know he would be appalled to read my description)

I have become the shoffer and the bargain hunter. It has been nice to live in a real town that has stores and I have fun hitting all the thrift stores and pride myself in getting awesome deals. I have no shame in lining up at the salvation army on half price fridays. College towns are fun because everyone seems poor. We have been enjoying the public library and all the fun parks they have. We also took the family swimming at the campus pool all for FREE!!

The average age of our new ward is age 30 so we fit in quite nicely.

Over the Labor Day weekend, we took our family back to dillon and blessed our little fuzzy mae. It was so nice to have family come, Mom and dad and josh and andrea and family. We had all of dustin's brothers there and 1 sister. We did take in the fair saturday nite and did the Labor day parade on Monday. It was a fun weekend.

Lou just had her 4th birthday. She reminds me so much a curious george. The other day she tried to help me with the laundry and scooped out all the the soap into the washer for me. (yes, it bubbled over) I know this is controvercial but I bought one of thoses animal backpacks that strap onto the child and the tail is actually a long leash for me to hang onto her. You could understand if you saw me the otherday with fuzzy mae in her big old carseat in one hand and bags and my purse in the other hand in the parking lot running after her before someone backed out over the top of her.

12 things that Lou Loves

She loves her daddy
she loves garmets
she loves having her dad scratch her back
she loves to steal sisters D.S. and hide behind the door and play it for hours
she loves to guzzle a sipper of milk wrapped in her garmet
she loves the park
she loves me to read to her
she loves to play with other kids
she loves to watch cartoons, dora, diego, wonder pets, kilan, backyardagains
she loves to draw pictures of herself and her dad
she loves to tease
she loves petshops, stuff animals, ponies, horses, carebears

It took so long to type the post that I will have to add pictures to go with it next time. so don't loose heart, I know that this was boring to read so I will try to get some picts latter.

Track Stars

This was no ordinary "field day" This was an organized track meet! We had so much fun watching little fritz and bugs. Fritz can run like the wind and we laughed so hard at Bugs facial expressions as she was giving it her all. They both did really well and placed in the top 3 in almost every event. (They did every field and running event that day from the hurdles to the shot-put)

easter morn

we woke up to all this SNOW saturday moring the day before Easter. We had our traditional Easter tea set breakfast. I was wondering if they were going to cancell the Easter Egg hunt we were planning on attending at some friends house but by afternoon most all the snow had melted. The kids ran around in the huge open cow pasture and gathered as many eggs as they could find. The eggs contained fake dollar bills which they later used to "buy" things at the auction that was held after the hunt. My girls have never participated in an auction and were having a hard time bidding and figuring out how to win their items. Bugs, saw an item she thought that she wanted and it was at $10 and she stood up and shouted $45 (her whole wad). Ha ha! We had a wonderful time and I was happy to come home with silly prizes instead of loads of candy. Then we spent the day over at grandma Janets house watching conference and the basketball games.

riding lessons

In March we got to skip a little school to go visit our daddy who has been in Polson, MT riding horses and living with grandma and grandpa. Dad took the time to give Fritz and Bugs some personal riding lessons!!

Unfortunetly we do not have any Bahama vacation pictures to post (though I wish we did)! Hotel swimming pools are more our stlye of vacation. Here are a couple a picts of Dustin and the girls having a great time at the Hotel in UT when we went to Krystal and Duwayne's wedding and I had to include a pic of them also.

My sweethearts

I have always loved valentines day!! I guess because I have always loved cards and card making from my mother and I of course love chocolate and candy. I remember saving my valentine cards from my classmates and looking at them all the time. I of course always read too much into the Heman cards from the boys that said be mine. LOL!! Here are my little school girls with their valentine day loot!!
