So Bugs got to play Mary for the nativity song the primary performed, and Fritz was supposed to be a stable animal. She said no way was she going to dress up as a cow or donkey, so she decided on a white kitty. Which actually turned out to look more like the easter bunny sitting in the nativity. Ha Ha Ha

thankful for thanksgiving

We had only been in our house for a couple of weeks when Thanksgiving rolled around and we were so excited that mom and dad and Josh and Andrea and family were able to come over. Andrea made yummy homemade rolls and pies and a cheeseball and mom baked the turkey and the mashed potatoes and gravy. I cut fruit and put crackers on a tray. ha ha. As you can tell, I am not in the kitchen very much I am just roaming around taking pictures. It was a little extra work but we used Grandma Ressie's china set. We had a kids table, adult table and Calli and Emma table.

After the dinner was finished the boys disappeared to go watch Football games-Broncos won!! and the girls watched the 8 kids run around on the haystacks outside. The next day the mommies and grandma wanted payback for having the guys gone all thanksgiving day so we went to town and shopped and ate out for lunch and went to New Moon at the Theater. So much fun
Saturday morning Josh and Andrea and family headed home and Grandpa, Chesnee and Dad headed to the horse sale in Billings.

I am thankful for thanksgiving, it is such a nice excuse to get together and eat lots of food!

It is not a joke we moved AGAIN

After 3 months in Arizona we knew that this was not going to work for our family. Having to move every 6 months between houses and having to drive our children to and from school everyday were very big factors. It was not a very good job fit for Dustin. So yes, no joke we moved AGAIN!!






Now this is the way to move! A semi trailer!! Thank you Merlin and Janet!

A huge thanks to my brother who came down with Dustin in the semi to help us load it all up and not only that but to drive it back and then help us unload it all.

A big thanks to dustins brother and his wife who also came to help us load and clean. You were a big help. and nothing broke!!

It went pretty smooth and we were mostly loaded before noon. We officially left Arizona at 2:00 p.m. Saturday Nov 7th and started our trek northward with Dustin driving the semi, Josh driving the pickup and horsetrailer and me in the van with little Lou. This time we did stop around midnite and got a hotel to sleep. We rolled back into montana Sunday Nov. 8th around 4:30p.m.

We then moved into our rental house in Twin on Monday!!! and a couple of days latter it snowed!

so I asked the girls if they wanted to go swimming at the aquaplex or go to the trunk or treat at the church

they voted to go swimming. (Hooray!!)

So I took them all swimming for Halloween

We splurged and went out to eat at Sizzler for lunch. I had such a great time watching my girls get one plate after the next of missalanious foods such as tiny corn from the salad bar and little squares of ham, soup, mashed potatoes, tacos, chips, fruit, and of course the desert bar. They ate so much that they had to lay down on the benches and moan. I asked them if they were ready to go back to the pool to finish swimming and they said to my astonishment that they ate too much and couldn't swim any more.

We decided to head back home and could still make the trunk or treat at the church and I asked them if they wanted to go.

Fritz said, "yes, but I don't need any candy because my tummy is soo full!!! Ha Ha I think I should make sizzler part of our Halloween tradition every year.


We had a halloween costume delema this year with Fritz, she wanted to be silvermist the water fairy off of Tinkerbell movie. I couldn't find one at the stores so I ordered one on the internet and needless to say, it didn't come in time for her halloween party at school and then when it finally did come, it was the wrong costume!!! she finally decided to be the same thing she was last year- a butterfly fairy. She looked beautiful and one of the boys in her class told her so.

Bugs was pretty easy going this year she wanted to be a ghost and she was a cute one at that.

Lou wore the purple unicorn costume which has been worn for the last 5 years if you can believe that! Now that costume was well worth the money. She went and paraded around the school with her sisters at the halloween parade.

so Dustin had his birthday and he got this cute little pup named suzie which we call sue. (Yes-she is female too lol!!) Here are just a couple of shots of our favorite and only guy in our family

Take a look at what I did for my birthday. We went to the Aquaplex. It was a blast. We didn't get to swim long because of lightning storms but the sisters and mom did the climbing wall. Then dad took us out for pizza and my favorite cold stone cotton candy ice cream. I was sure tired when the day was over. I got my own "DS" for my birthday but guess what I still sneak my sisters and play that. I got to blow out 3 matches (mom didn't have any candles) on my cupcake and I got to frost it myself. I just love birthdays!

VISITORS! HOORAY!

We had a super fun muddy Labor Day weekend. It involved a lot of 4-wheeling, mud, food, a few cows and lots of elk, getting lost, dead gerbils, girls in the tree house, fast and testimony meeting in a little branch, going to the lake,lizard hunting and crawdads.


I just wanted to say something about my oldest brother.

We wanted to do some fishing in the lakes around us but forgot the poles. Shane was pretty bummed. He wanted to seize the opportunity to teach his kids to fish and thought that is what a good dad would do and felt bad that he couldn't.

Next we got out the gun and Shane was excited to teach his boys how to shoot a gun and had fun shooting the ground squirls. He felt that this was an important thing for a dad to teach his boys how to do.

On Sunday we went to a little branch. It was fast sunday. Shane got up and bore his testimony.

Shane was worried about being a good dad and having the opportunity to teach his boys to shoot a gun and fish, but in my opinion He could not have taught them anything more important than that Sunday in the little branch where he stood up and bore testimony of the gospel and our savior and how mindful he is of each of us and answers our prayers. With his good example,then his three boys all got up and bore their testimony also.

Thank you shane for teaching me and being a great example to me also. you are the best big brother.

School girls

OK so I lied. I said the hardest part of moving was setting up my two houses, The absolute hardest part of this move was deciding where to send my girls to school, and how to get them there and picked up everyday. We live so far away from towns that it was a difficult task to figure out bus schedules and I found out that we live in Flagstaff school district after I had already started my girls in Winslow.

To make a huge long story with heartache, tears, and prayers The girls are at Winslow. I take them to the bus stop everymorning. We get up at 5:45 and leave our house at 6:45 and make it to the bus stop at 7:20 and then the bus takes them into town for school at 8:50 and then it is the same drive down to the bus stop to pick them up and we get home around 5:30. WOW!!! that is a long day for my school girls, but we are falling into a schedule and they take naps and do homework on the bus. The down side is that we will have to get used to a whole new schedule when we move back down to the crater ranch, where they do not offer a bus so I will have to drive them everyday both ways. Next year I will re-evaluate our schooling situation with Lou starting preschool. YES I have concidered homeschooling (i know that all of you are thinking that)

The girls have adjusted well to all the new things. They have made new friends They have experienced a lot of diversity in culture. Their school is mainly native american (Navajo) and hispanic. They have made friends and really like their teachers. Both are doing well in school.

Step 3 Set up house

Ok so this is supposed to be the fun part of moving. But for me this was the most stressfull of all.

We have 2 houses that we were setting up and I had to decide in a spit second what went where for 2 houses as the men were unpacking everything out of the trailers. As I was telling my "moms" that it took almost 2 weeks to pack all this stuff, why in the world do we need to get it all unpacked in 2 hours?? To say the least I have stuff everywhere. Maybe someday I will find where I packed the batteries, calenders and clocks.

These are the 2 houses I live in. The one up in the forest is where we summer and the one with the stucco is the winter house. Both are nice places to call home. As you can tell there is lots of dirt so I will be busy trying to plant some grass to make me feel a little more at home amongst all the flat rocks and sand. Ha Ha

Step 2 MOVE

We got out of Dillon around 4:00p.m. July 30th Dustin was in the lead with a horse trl. and then I was in the middle in my van with the girls the clothes and the computers, and Then it was Merlin and Janet in their truck with Jim Sitz's trailer with yet another full load of stuff. We followed eachother out of Montana, through Idaho then trough Utah. We stopped at Knab, UT and decided that it was too late to rent a motel room(what were we thinking!!!) we just leaned back our chairs and tried to take a nap. Yeah right-I tried to get comfortable with my head going one way and my feet and arms in seperate sections of the van it was impossible!! I took some pictures of the girls, they slept almost the whole way. Dustin and I decided to just get going after 2 hours of torture So off we went into AZ. We all (and I mean to tell you that my mom and dad also met us-they drove down from SLC before dad went in for his big surgery )met up in Flagstaff to have a sit down breakfast witch was very well deserved after driving all night long. (that is what I get when I am following truck drivers) Any how WE MADE IT TO AZ!!!!!!

Here are a few picts of the garage sale/lemonade stand The girls were so cute that they brought in more customers for the sale, (It was grandma Peggers idea to sell muffins and lemonade. Little sister was the best customer.)A big thanks for all who came to and helped with the garage sale. We made out pretty good and got rid of a lot of stuff that was sitting in the garage collecting dust. Though I must admit it was very hard to get rid of all my baby stuff.

I guess I can look on the bright side of things and appreciate the purging process of "stuff." The most important things that I needed were all sitting in their boxes in the middle of my living room. (see the picture of my girls who packed themselves)
